House note
What the 20% discount covers under the law, what that means at the salon, and what we offer our guests.
As of July 2026 · we review this note when the law changes
Republic Act 9994 (the Expanded Senior Citizens Act) and Republic Act 10754 (for persons with disability) grant a 20% discount and VAT exemption on a specific list of goods and services: medicines and medical supplies; doctors' and dental fees; land, air, and sea transport; hotels and restaurants; recreation centers; theater and cinema admission; and funeral services.
Salon and personal-care services are not on that list. The one place the law covers a parlor or barbershop is inside a hotel, as a hotel amenity. This is the law's own enumeration, and it applies to every standalone salon in the country, not just Piandré.
The statutory 20% senior citizen and PWD discount doesn't apply to salon visits, so our branches can't process it — presenting an OSCA or PWD ID doesn't change the price of a service. We know that's not the answer everyone hopes for, and we'd rather say it plainly here than have you find out at the front desk.
Our promos are open to everyone — seniors and PWD guests included. Through August 17, 2026, our anniversary treat gives you four coupons, each 20% off a service, at every branch: claim yours here. Beyond that, current offers are always on our Updates page, and many of our guests have been with us since 1987 — we take care of the people who grew up with us.
Ask any branch's front desk, or send us a message. If the law changes to cover salon services, this note — and our front desks — will change with it.
